Hi: I know this is the most simplest of repairs but just not comfortable do it.

I also have to be very careful with my back.

I ordered new belts for Maytag A806 and if a member in area could change them out I’m willing to offer $75.

Thanks so much!

I’m wiling to front all expenses paid for anyone wanting to come to Lake County, CA to help me fix my 1985 Whrilpool washer’s non-spin problem. Please email me at toddmetcalf46@yahoo.com if interested.

Los Angeles : Need Auto Painter

Hi I'm looking for somebody to sandblast and paint (single stage or 2 stage) my steel GE cabinets/ Wonder Kitchen. Unfortunately my kitchen center had a lot of bad old paint jobs on the cabinets. I'm planning on powder coating them in 3 days. However, I'd rather paint them since I'm worried about how they will do in the powdercoating ovens.

Most auto body shops get a scared look on their face when you bring them 50 year old cabinets, so any referrals are appreciated.

I'm also looking for somebody handy to help me put my kitchen center back together once it comes back from the powder coater. So if you're in LA and are handy with 70 year old hinges, please email.

I can't help you with the painting process but I'll be glad to help you when they come back.

Repainting old steel Kitchen cabinets

Modern auto paint and clear coating should give you a beautiful durable finish.

Power coating should work as well as long as there are no plastic parts that go into the curing ovens, although PC may be overkill and often the final finish is not as good looking as auto paint, although it would be more durable if they are going to get hard use.

John.

How about a local trade school?

Cars are complex surfaces, with all kinds of curves to manage. But these flat surfaces should be a perfect canvas for students to hone their skills on.
