The cottage has been open for a little more than a month now and we finally got around to switching out the stoves for the season. We took out the 1966 Montgomery Ward Signature Menu-Matic range (Tappan built), which was a wonderful stove and performed so well. I will actually miss using this range but have plans to install it elsewhere.

It was replaced with a 1961 Westinghouse Aristocrat range, which I think is one of the more handsome ranges in my collection. I used this stove for a while in my Detroit home, and it was a joy. Looking forward to using it again at the cottage this season.

We spent a good part of the winter moving appliances from various storage units into a commercial building I purchased near the cottage. This is still a work in progress, and I've got another truck load or two to move, but when all is done everything will be there. Our plan is to build a kitchen studio for Cavalcade, and then with all the appliances right there, we can switch the stoves and refrigerators out whenever we want.

LOVE IT!

Looks like you have a old store building which looks great for old appliances, I am TOTALLY sold on the 59 Westinghouse I am now using! As good as anything I have ever used!

In the Video you mentioned that this might be the first Westinghouse stove you've had in the cottage. I thought I remembered a Westinghouse Terrace Top. WAs that at the Cottage, or in your home in Detroit?

I remember the WH TT also but that was in your Detroit house, no?

It was in Kevin's house

in Cavalcade of food episodes.
I need a good fishing spot. I may try the rocky jetty in Lexington one day.
The St. Clair boardwalk is under renovation, and I have no luck in the Clinton river.
Some Lake Huron small mouth bass would make some tasty pan fish. At least it's up stream form the Sarnia chemical plant.

Beautiful range. I prefer bright work to black or wood grain on appliance control panels and that Westinghouse certainly doesn't disappoint on that.

Have you ever posted pictures or video of the cottage beyond the kitchen? Would really like to see the exterior and rest of the interior.
