Finally got around to posting a quick video of my 1963 Kenmore Visi-Matic wringer (in pink!). It shows the awesome power and swirl agitation of taking on a full load of towels. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Vintagevillage's LINK |

When I was a teenager, our neighbor, who was like a second mother to me had a Kenmore Vis-a-matic wringer washer that was identical to the one in the post. When it stopped working in about 68’, her husband put their old Maytag square tub wringer from the 1930’s back into service. I learned to use a wringer washer from watching Bev.
They lived in an old house, that had been a hotel during the times of stagecoaches, and their home had been a stagecoach stop. The washer was out on the backporch, The Kenmore had a pump, but the old Maytag didn’t, and she would just gravity drain it off the backporch Eddie This post was last edited 06/17/2018 at 16:58 |
