I have a friend whose parents have a Speed Queen AA5421L washer dated to 1991. He said that they have been having problems with it walking across the floor and it acting out of balance. The machine is level and the load is balanced. They have looked inside and said all of the springs looked good. I mentioned snubber pads and he said that there was a felt pad that looked very worn inside, where the drum connects to the frame, but wasn't sure how to get in there as he said it was press fitted together and couldn't get to it. I would love to look at this machine but I'm almost a 5 hour drive away. ANY Info you guys can provide I would be grateful for as will pass it along to him. Hoping to keep this machine out of the scrapper.
