The Syracuse Washing Machine Company sold/was bought by Murray. Murray sold to Hupp. Hupp sold to WCI. WCI killed it. The Syracuse automatic was primarily a Beam design. Murray came up with Velva-Power toploaders and the combo. Hupp stop manufacturing and used rebranded Hotpoint washers. WCI went Franklin. | ||

a bit more on WCI WCI bought our Washex Machinery a commerical laundry machinery making mainly hospital and hotel equiptment. They ran it into the ground , And sold in in 2000 to a overseas co. POOEY on W C I I think the ruined every thing they touched .. Mac | ||
