Hey Folks,
A small appliance repair business in Granby, CT is going out of business after over 40 years. This small business is one everyone used and we all grew to love. The owner feels she has thousands of $s in replacement parts but would like to sell all to one party for around $500. Please let me know if anyone out there has any interest.
They would typically not work on machines made after 2000 and routinely talked folks out of "wasting" their money on these new "disposable" appliances.

Thanks

Are we talking a boxtruckful or a semi full? Granby is on 202 in the northern part of the state. Maybe the ideal solution would be to see how many people in the area and who can travel to the area  are interested in dividing up the stock. I wonder if she has an inventory or if we would have to take the stuff with us and put it in to a computer.  $500 is not that much for valuable parts. Do you know what brands they serviced? Would it be possible to get some  pictures of the warehouse to estimate amount?

Thanks again,

Tom

If anyone else is interested in doing as Tom has suggested, I'm in!  Granby CT is about a 4 hour drive from me but that's not an issue.

If she has a Selector Switch:

For a KUDS-23 (Hobart designed panel) I will buy it. I need one as my Soak and Scrub cycle no longer works and other buttons stick.

I’d be interested in all of it. If the op can post a general picture of the items to get an idea of how much stuff is there.

I agree, picture of the items. Tell him to hold on and throw nothing away, there are plenty of people looking for them.

Things will go how they will

But if past history is any indication a deal has been done already or soon wrapped up *sight unseen*. *LOL*

Many years ago now recall an old warehouse of NOS Frigidaire parts that was going (somewhere in south and it was two brothers selling out of the business). Person or persons rolled up to that warehouse and it was end of things.

In short this listing is likely seeing more action than the last brassire and girdle sale at Gimbles.

Friends,
I have given several of the respondents Notch Road Appliance's contact info. If you would like this information, please ask me. I am doing this a favor to her. She is not a member and is not familiar with this type of forum.

I'm in Springfield Mass.

I would like to have the contact info; perhaps there is some Blackstone stuff.

I am close enough to visit. If possible, I could take photos of the inventory and post the info on the forum. (I just noticed the thread today, so I'm not sure if anything left.) I would not be able to transport very large items, only parts that would fit in a Subaru Forester. If I got this far, I could work with anyone here for further transport.

What happened to all those parts? Or maybe I shouldn't ask.
