I suppose it's a similar sensor to what Electrolux use in the US as LuxCare and PredictiveDry.

Due to some rescheduling I might actually go to Berlin while IFA is happening and if I do I will spend a day there. Would be my first time since 2012, am already excited! |

That's better Miele, those touchscreen W1's look way better than before, I wonder what that clock thing at the top of the machine is for? :) |

Not a fan of Miele's current direction, why couldn't they just keep the classic-looking machines in production? I believe the classic design is still around in the form of the Little Giant series... |

There is no such thing as a classic Miele. They always steadily changed and improved. All of their new series had a few years until all faults had been ironed out and by now, the W1 series just is the best performing machine on the EU market. |

Miele is teasing a G7000 dishwasher, a "true rvolution" as the ad says. What might it be? Honestly, no idea! |

I browsed Google Patents. What I read about was an updated cup rest, auto-dispensing of a pourable detergent (powder, liquid?) and hot-air drying. These were the latest entries.

So TwinDos for DW, makes perfect sense. |

Most certainly, yes. Final scheduling and booking will be done Mon/Tue and will depend on some private stuff, but I should make it. |

So yes, automatic dosing it is (and slightly upgraded racks). A disk does 20 washes.

I like the look of the racks. But I don't really like the AutoDos implementation, presuming that there is no empty powder cartridge avaible. Edit: Took me a second to realize they eliminated one of their best DW features, the salt container in the door. No combination product will ever work as well as a water softner. |

Will Aldi stores sell a generic version of this dosing disk in the near future or will this disk soon turn out to be the next Betamax of automatic detergent dosing ?
Seriously, I don`t like the route Miele took with Capdosing and now with this "thing" at all. TwinDos at least can be altered with products of your own choice. |

Thing is that CapDos is just there, it dosen't really change the products usability much. This ugly thing in the door that pushes away the saltcompartment is just useless gimmick. Just popping in a tablet really isn't a hazzle, especially with dissolvable packaging avaible. |

Found a picture of the new AEG 8000 series with AutoDose.
I'm really fond of the design... the black, red and white of the control panel and drawer looks really smart. I'd be temped if I hadn't heard so many mixed reviews of these machines. Attached a link direct to the picture as it seems to only be uploading in low quality. CLICK HERE TO GO TO l86810's LINK

Still enjoying the city and didn't have any time to write a full review of my tour yet. Here are the few pictures I took as a teaser. Didn't take many as me new phone didn't arive in time and my old phone camera is wonky. |
