My mother’s old GE Dryer needs a belt but can find any info using model number can anybody help
Model # 1DE 520 E5 W

Searched internet and found nothing... I can’t believe there is nothing about this model number

Could you post a picture of the dryer?  The "1DE" doesn't fit the jargon that I'm most familiar with, a picture might help.

That was the standard designation for GE dryers. I think the standard belt that is all over eBay will fit this model. Your mom's model is the 1962 "W" version of this BOL model which, I guess because of its simplicity and good construction, had a habit of lasting for years and years:

Belt For An Older GE Dryer

If it is the belt that goes around the drum you need Pt# WE12X36, if it has roller drive with the short V-belt take the old belt to a good hardware store and buy a similar belt.

This would be a good time to inspect and if needed replace the nylon drum bearing.
(If it has one, I've never worked on a GE dryer that old).

Also a good time to vacuum out all of the lint in the ductwork and that manages to escape into the cabinet.
