It's been a while since I've seen a matched set of these show up - but the price is a little high... I have a feeling there may be other issues with the washer than just the belt. Seller is one that 'thinks' the items are worth $1000 each, so they may also 'think' a transmission problem could be solved with a new belt. Or freon. Just needs some more freon.... Yeah, that's it. 70s SQ solid Tub Washer This is not actually a timed fill machine, it has a water sensor that starts agitation when a certain amount of water overflows into the outer tub.
The Water-Level button will stop the fill and start agitation sooner if a lower WL is desired [ or if you want to stop the waste of about two gallons hot wash water and detergent ] a lot of users would push the button when it was full for wash, the little bit of over flow of cold water for rinse is not so wasteful as it helps the rinsing slightly.

I have the same dryer in white that I got years ago, I wish I could find the matching washer but it hasn't happened yet! I'll have to pass on this set as I can't afford it at the moment!

You're absolutely right, Christina, that's the softener dispenser at the bottom of the tub and the bleach dispenser is on the left side of the lid opening. It had a long, plastic tube that held the bleach until dispensed into the wash cycle at about 5 min. A solenoid opened a valve and water flowing into the tub siphoned the bleach into the stream entering the tub. The bad part is, the bleach was corrosive and ate away the components of the system and eventually, the bleach poured into the dispenser would either not be siphoned out or wind up on the floor once the hoses were completely eaten away.
CR smacked Speed Queen (and HP) around for years because of their small, solid tubs and lack of flexibility in selecting water levels, etc. Late solid tub TOL SQ washers had a metered fill with a separate reservoir and pressure switch. This added more plumbing and a solenoid that would empty the reservoir during the pause between agitate and spin. You could hear the water tinkling into the outer tub after the solenoid click. Even with this system and infinite water level control, CR tinkled on them again for "relatively narrow range of fill levels." They couldn't win for losing. | ||

Ahhhhhh, Now I see it looks like it's at the bottom of the wash tub. I thought it was just under the bag of belts! No wonder why it looked kinda small to me, because it was at the bottom of the wash tub. Thank you gansky, for confirming the fabric softener & bleach dispensers. And also for opening my eyes to the depth in the picture. LOL... :oD | ||
