Help! I have a A506 Maytag washer. I replaced the lip seal, reassembled and now the washer is off balanced and making weird noises. I must have did something wrong! Any ideas? |

By lip seal you mean tub seal?
The tub may not be centered properly and is scraping up against the outer tub. Is it a scraping sound? |

Yes, goodshepherd, you're right on. It was the lug stop setting. I'm sure the damper pads are worn but I didn't see them. I wanted to add oil to the helical transmission but didn't see where to add oil. I did replace 2 bearings and lubed everything I could. Thanks again. |
