I just added three new items to the Ephmera Libarary, including an AE first, a German language Miele catalog! It's in German, but the pictures are still fun lol for those of us who don't speak the language. It shows off front-loaders, horizontal-access top-loaders, twin-tub, spinners, dryers and ironers.

The Miele brochure is from February 1983 as it says on the bottom of the last page (Ausgabe 2/83). This is not the first brochure that introduces the new Miele class. I have a brochure from December 1982, but it is only a small brochure. IIRC, this was the last generation Mieles with separate wash and spin motors. Also the last series that had two 110 Volt heating elements instead of one 220V. This generation was only manufactured for around 5 years. In 1987 a much more modern generation was introduced with an electronic controlled motor etc.
The toploaders in this brochure were still of the older generation, they were phased out, until the introduction of the new toploaders with a completely new design in 1987. |
