I took a look after you pointed this out Christina,, and actually there are three cycles, Normal, which is the only one you can make custom wash and spin speed choices, Delicate, that only fills 3/4 full and preselects the wash and spin speed as well as the wash and rinse temps, and Wash and Wear, which preselects the appropriate wash and spin speeds. So the Normal cycle is the only one that can be customized by the user. Really a very user friendly and flexible washer.

The 1962 Parts-Master has only a few of pages on the WAC models. The 65 edition has no WAA/WAC models, only WAD, 350,250 & 150.

Now I see what you were talking about! That is curious, isn’t it? I don’t understand why the lower right selection on the speed switch would have two wash speeds? Maybe one of the Blackstone experts will have an explanation. BTW, I’m very sad about Arizona and the USA’s loss of your Senator, John McCain. He was one of a kind. Eddie |

4-page sell sheet:
I'm sure that the labels on the control panel was a typographical error; should be Slow Wash/Slow Spin, making 4 combinations. This is described in the text on page 2. {Having been in the typesetting business for over 30 years, I appreciate good proofreading!} Well, technically, the 250/350 models had the ability to do Cold Wash/Warm Rinse. They had infinite temperature control. The user would have to change the temperature control after filling and before rinsing. The printing date is 1959. I could check further to see when we actually sold this model. Fun project for a holiday. |

Yeah, John McCain seemed like one of the good guys. I seen his story on one of the episodes of that show LOCKED UP ABROAD. He was a P.O.W. of the Vietnam War.
I was saddened to hear about his passing. And it happened so quickly too! It was reported that he decided not to have anymore treatments and then the next day, he passed away. :o( |
