Anyone noticing this? I've been seeing a lot of clearance items at Lowes, items that are discontinued, broken or display units.

I stopped last night and saw a stainless steel dishwasher with a note that it was inspected by a technician and unrepairable. There was also a Hotpoint dryer with a broken control panel as well. I had not noticed this before. But Lowes currently has pallets and makeshift shelves of markdowns everywhere lately.

How can they be selling unrepairable items??  Or even broken items that could be repaired?  Free-for-the-taking, maybe.

Mostly scratch and dent stuff around here, if it was broken and cheap enough parts dealers would buy and strip the new units.

I buy broken lawnmowers and stuff all the time from them when they’re cheap enough and fix them.

Even the unrepairable stuff goes for a high price at the Lowes here. The other day I saw a BOL builders grade dishwasher with a tech service slip saying unrepairable for $250

I saw a white dishwasher last night, don't remember the brand, and it was $45.
