Unusual color - especially on a range.  30", Self-cleaning oven.

Columbia, MO for $125

Cool Color

That was a good range, too. Never cared much for "woodgrain accents". Part of appliance-life in the 70's and 80's, but, ehh.

I had that range bought new in 1986. Just sold the house it was in and still working perfectly. It was almond in color. Never had a better range. Oven was perfect for baking and broiling. Quick pre heat. Surface units were excellent. The only repair on it was the little plastic ring that went around the button for the oven light. Bought a newer model in 2005 and not the same then bought another in 2011 and less product and more problems. Oh well can never go back. lol

AMKrayoGuy’s memories of Platinum & Toast:

I once saw a discarded Kenmore range in Toast—in front of my old boss’s son’s house, and like that range there, I think...

Then I remember an old used appliance haunt having a Kenmore side-by-side in Platinum, with recessed grips on the doors, rather than real handles; ice and water through the freezer door, too...
