Okay. Not really.

I just recently discovered these, and had to have one.
Because I'm obsessive, and an admitted hoarder, I also bought a similar little mini Miele.
That one hasn't arrived yet.
I ain't right.

I Can't Believe there's a Boy on the Box

Times have changed!  Great for the little boys that want this toy!

I was impressed by that too!
Especially since I've loved washing machines as far back as I can remember.
If these would have been around when I was a kid, it would have been one of my favorite toys!

Do like showing a boy using the machine!

I want one!

Had both, TL/wringer (windup) and FL (crank), in 1951.  And a dishwasher.    And some 'normal' stuff like American Flyer trainset.  Not so much that they were 'laundry', but mechanical.  5yrs later, fixing the slant Westy pair.

Boys have to wash too.  College if not sooner.  Wonder how many hapless males subjected themselves to marriage for the primary goal of getting their laundry done?

In addition to the toy washers, toy stoves with colored plastic buttons and red plastic cookware set including pressure cooker, which I remember shopping for with my father for gifts for my brother and me, I also liked gold fish and tropical fish; anything to do with water.

This embarrassed the hell out of my father:  He took me and a friend to a movie when I was maybe 4 or less and he and I had to spend almost the entire picture out in the lobby watching the orange drink machine with its round plastic drum and delta-shaped metal rotating stirrer.  If the word Autistic was known then, I would have been branded with a big A. The nice thing is that I get along with people OK in small doses, but don't get lonely without them and I like animals like Temple Grandin.

You've bought a 'Hotpoint' in disguise! LOL

Yes!
I've seen pictures of that version online, but didn't see any for sale.
Maybe that version isn't available in the U.S.?
I would like that one, because of it having the well-known, age-old Hotpoint name on it.
I also like the color combination on that version.
But this one is essentially the same machine, and every washer that I've ever known personally has been white anyway.

And another

The little Miele came today.
This one seems a little more high-end than the Casdon, but I'm really liking both of them!
The Miele, you can actually put water in, if you feel so inclined.
I think it's a bit smaller than the Casdon. I'll have to pop them out of their boxes later, and get a picture of them side by side.

Back in the Seventies, Casdon modelled their machine on a Bendix. In the Eighties, they modelled on the Hoover Electron Series.

The Royal Warrant!

Launderess will be chuffed - The Queen apparently uses this particular machine too! :-)

The Miele

Well, it's hard to find much of anything wrong with a machine which can be used to choke children.
