Hi all,
When I posted about the washer and dryer that came with our house, a couple of comments said that the dryer was a good one. I'm just wondering what you can tell me about it, based on the numbers. We were both a little freaked out initially because of it being natural gas. We had both grown up with electric dryers. But, cleaning the exhaust vent hose once in a while is the only thing that's had to be done to it. It just does what it's supposed to do. Is there any maintenance that should be done, where the gas is concerned? I'm just thinking of our natural gas heat, for example. The service plan we're on, a tech checks and cleans the burner every year. Thanks! Barry

Your dryer was built the 36th week of 1995, these are very good dryers, in fact you have one of the best and most economical to operate dryers the world has ever seen.
Gas dryers need no more maintenance than electric ones do, however Like all dryers keep the filter and vent clean and if it starts getting very noisy or starts taking MUCH longer to dry a loads of clothing either fix it or get it fixed. Long drying times and excess noise are both calls for help and any dryer that is not operating properly can become dangerous. John L. |
