My former neighbor Thelma got a set of Ekco Flint cookware when she and her husband Nelson married in 1954. She used it until she passed away about 10 years ago. It still looked like new. | ||

I grew up in a town that was chock full of National homes. Dime a dozen in fact. I'd wager that 90% are still standing today so they must have done something right.
The main factory was in W Lafayette IN I think it is a Wabash National plant now, not sure on that one. | ||

My parents and my sister had these exact same mattresses. They were SO comfortable, just like a cloud. My Mom and Dad got theirs in 1955, a standard double bed size and Mom used that mattress set until 2000, when she and my stepfather replaced the bed with a Temprapedic, no comparison in quality and comfort.

Back in 1968 I remember my folks buying Sealy Posturepedics for themselves, my sister and me. My folks and sister had full size and I had twin. They lasted well into the 1980's when they were all replaced with Queen Sealy Posturepedics. They were replaced in about 6 years, and since then with different name brands. None have lasted like those original Sealy's.
