A 1952 Westinghouse Appliance film with an all star cast of voices acting as the voices of the various Westinghouse major appliances.

That was such a treat! And to have my favorite actress be the voice of my favorite appliance is to die for.

Thanks for sharing that great video!

I was only able to watch bits & pieces of it, but can tell it was very well produced. Wanted to see all of it today, but forgot to bring my headphones to the library. Hopefully tomorrow.

Great period piece, despite being equal parts dated, campy and playing to stereotypes by today's standards.

For you Classic TV fans, You might recognize Robert Rockwell as "Jor-El" Superman's father; and "Mr. Boynton" the fellow schoolteacher and heartthrob in "OUR MISS BROOKS."

The film was a Roland Reed Production; also responsible for such TV chestnuts as, "MY LITTLE MARGIE," "BEULAH" and "THE TROUBLE WITH FATHER" (a.k.a. "THE STU ERWIN SHOW")

The film was shot at Hal Roach Studios. You might remember his name, too; he produced all those "OUR GANG"/ LITTLE RASCALS" shorts; as well as those of Laurel & Hardy.

Cute film

A couple of othe names in the credits:
Percy Kilbride - Pa Kettle
and Abby Berlin (director) went on the next year to direct The Life of Riley TV series and later The Ann Southern Show.

And am I mistaken or did Desilu not buy the Hal Roach studios?

Al

No; Desilu didn't purchase the old Hal Roach Studios lot;
it did buy the former RKO Pictures lot from General Tire in 1957.
