I have been given the opportunity to purchase this Kelvinator Wringer Washer. It appears to be in pretty good shape and the guy who owns it, claims it still works. He is asking $150 for it. You think it's a decent price? How common are these Kelvinators? I've not seen a wringer from them before.

From the photos, it does appear to be in great shape - nice bakelite agitator! $150.00 may be a bit on the high side, unless it's in fantastic shape.

If I was inspecting it, I'd check out the condition of a couple of specifics:
- the 2 wood bearings in the lower wringer frame. And the 2 attached to the upper rolls.
- the mechanism under the bottom wringer roll that diverts the drain pan/flume.
- underneath for signs of oil leakage.
- the agitator post and drive block.
- mechanism to activate the pump.

Regarding replacement parts - the wringer assembly looks to be a Lovell, and occasionally some rolls appears on ebay. Other than that, I'm not familiar with the Kelvinator brand.

HI Brad, There are some characteristics that are held over from the ABC. The lid, for example is from the ABC design as is the agitator and the way that the drain is offset and not under the agitator.
I think it may be a bit pricey, so see what you can do. I hope you are well?

Kelvinator acquired ABC (Altorfer Bros. Company)

Was just reading on Wikipedia that Kelvinator bought out ABC, so what Gary states makes sense.

So the seller and I agreed on a price and i ended up buying this. It is now at my house. I tested it and everything works on it. Has a few scratches on it, but overall it's in good condition.
