I did a lot of searching and found a lot of different part numbers and wasn't sure which to use. Hence my quest for help.

From your link, my washer model is not listed as one of the compatible models for that part.

WP Wig-Wag kits

combo52's profile picture

Are all the same, the complete kit fits every WP BD washer from 1947-1987, the Wig-Wag without the plungers fits every WP BD washer from 1964-1987.

if anything, try model LHA7800W1....

or LHA6480W1, LHA7685WO.....

their all of a belt drive setup......for some models, capacity would make a difference in parts....a 'wigwag' is not one of them.....BOL to TOL, Whirlpool or Kenmore, 1 speed or 2 speed.....

if I can think back as far as 1960...all the way up to 1984, FSP built belt drives used a wigwag/cam/shifter, from portables up to Super Capacity machines.....all with the same wigwag....

not likely that a wigwag was built just for your model machine only.....

the only thing to keep in mind, is mark your wires to place them back on the correct solenoid when reassembling....

part numbers to use.....

WPL84867
89814
84867
359997
365998

for every drive parts diagram I come across...its part number 9

Yep, I saw those diagrams too. Not very useful with "part #9" and no ordering information.

So, I just need to get a wigwag complete kit (with plungers) .

Thanks for the help

There was a difference in very early wig-wag design vs. later ... the 1964-point that Combo52 mentions.  The early design had larger-diameter plungers, which is why the full kit including (smaller-diameter) plungers is needed to retrofit a very old machine that still has the original style.  All models from the change-over point to the end of belt-drive production otherwise take the same part.

Your model is not specifically stated in the list for the item that Yogi linked above because LHA (1981) and earlier models have largely been dropped from parts look-up databases.  AppliancePartsPros.com usually includes older models whereas SearsPartsDirect.com and other sources may not.

Also ... N at the end is a color code (for almond).  W is white.  In cases where a model for a color other than white is not found on a parts/model search, substitute the code accordingly for white ... or do a partial search for the model without the last two or three characters.
