The Maytag.
First of all, I would NEVER own a front loader without a heater. Second, don't use Normal cycle much, it uses the least amount of water and doesn't spin between between some of the interim wash & rinses.
For the kind of items you are describing, I suggest using Power Wash with Steam for Stains and warm or hot water washes. Sanitize would be good for loads you want hot water too, but it's not going to get to super hot like previous versions did on sanitize.
For average laundry, I'd use rapid wash with the heaviest soil and probably add an extra rinse.
I have an aversion to cold water washing, so that cycle would be useless for me. But it also might be a good cycle to choose for lightly soiled items. It uses various tumble patterns to make up for washing in cold water. |

There are new Whirlpool (and for that part Maytag) machines on the horizon. First shipping dates have been pushed back from early to end of this month. So those might be further away than I think, but waiting a few weeks or months might proof usefull in terms of pricing with retailers getting rid of the "old" machine stock. |

Apples and Apples for the most part, their both made by the same company.....
most likely the same build quality inside, if not many of the same parts... it just boils down to which one appeals to you most.... if you were talking Whirlpool against LG, Samsung, Haier, etc, then your talking different beast... |
