I need to ship a washer from St. Louis to Ohio? What companies or individuals can you all recommend? |

Always gets my vote. Haven't had a problem yet.
OTOH once used a service that came highly recommended (for shifting the AEG set cross country) and was a disaster. My perfectly nearly NIB washer and dryer arrived with damage. Minor, but never the less still damaged. Downside to U-ship is timing and price. It all comes down to who is going where you are from where item is located. Sometimes you get plenty of bids off the bat at reasonable prices, others are very high and even then few. That being said U-ship has tightened things up so most of the shippers are quite good. No money changes hands until everything is delivered and signed off. You pay at time of booking order, but money isn't released until you either give code to driver or log into your account and release. Cannot stress enough that one should be flexible with U-ship. If things are rush rush, then you might not get bids in time, and or be prepared to pay top dollar. |
