Hi folks - I've lurked here for a bit but not yet posted. I wanted to show my new KDS18, a Craigslist find for $35 bucks, which is replacing my Fisher Paykel dish drawer. Thanks to posts on here I was able to replace the drain valve with one from a KDS21 I got for parts. So far it seems to be working great!
One question - In fiddling around I noticed one of the screws on the trimp piece adjacent to the black "glas" was missing a washer. When I unscrewed it to add a washer, I realized that it was just screwed into a "keeper" or speed nut type thing that slid to the bottom of the door. I am assuming at this point I need to take the front panel off, but wanted to make sure before I made things worse. I've looked in the repair manual and could find nothing on the door panel removal, and could not find anything here, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips before I just dig in and try it myself. Thanks so much. |
