I have a question about a Maytag washer. My sister-in-law inherited this washer. The washer is an extra large capacity 2 speed matchine. The agitator was a "Shark Fin" type and was missing the softener dispenser cup. I had a Turquoise NON Shark Fin agitator with a dispenser cup. I swapped out the agitator, but I noticed her machine has the "Fast Stroke" agitation. Is this swap of any consequence to the machine or it's cleaning ability. I also noticed that the tub indexes about 1/8" to 1/4" every two to four oscillations. Could this be because I swapped out the agitator. Thank you for any answers and advice. |

Sounds like you installed a long-arc Power-fin agitator in a short stroke orbital trans machine, it fits but not a good combination. |
