Extremely rare ( only one known to exist) Apex Wash-A-Matic.

Found in old warehouse, may have been a floor display? Ton of original paperwork, warranty/ registration cards all were present in the drum including center dial cover never installed. Rubber hose was on back and cracked off due to age

Original seal of approval on glass

Appears complete except no motor.

Unrestored, only cleaned with soap and water.

Is the rush to Manchester, CT.

*LOL*

Saving grace is that without a motor it will take someone who knows what they are doing to bring this beauty to life. This should cut down on the punters who drive up prices on rare/unusual items.

Super cool pictures, unfortunately not only is the drive motor (and possibly belt I can't tell) missing so is the drain pump at least from the picture underneath shown.

All those missing parts would explain

Why the thing has sat sitting shoved into a corner of a warehouse all these years.

Now question becomes who has such things lying about spare, and or will substitutes work?

Now There's Something You Don't See Everyday.

Robert you mentioned the drive motor and possibly the pump are missing. I know this varies with every machine, and I don't know much about the Apex mechanism, but how specific of a motor would be required? Is it some sort of deal where the motor has to be right up in there or could you match pulleys and RPMs and give it a shot?

Also Robert, when you found your Apex did it come with the factory "Seal of Approval" sticker?? :) I couldn't imagine finding an Apex w/o

I don't remember an Apex Seal of Approval sticker on my mom's light-with-an-automotive-spark-plug gas dryer. If there was one she probably scrubbed or cleaned it off. She insisted on sparkling appliances.

No price I see. "Best Offer" means different things to different people.

I had forgotten to include the pictures of all the documentation that came with the machine, included for your viewing pleasure.

That $279.95 is just short of $3000 in 2018 dollars.

>> All those missing parts would explain why the thing has sat sitting shoved into a corner of a warehouse all these years.

It could have been the opposite case too. Perhaps the machine was only ever intended to be a non-operating display, so a few parts were removed and sold over the years to keep other machines (customer machines?) in service... If it was a display, nobody would have ever noticed that the motor and pump were missing...

The Apex has left my possession and has found a new home with a wonderful new owner who will remain anonymous until they perhaps come forward some day...
