At first I was just going to post the picture of the rare bird known as The Kenmore Kart but then I realized that both of these pages from Sears 1972 "Accessories for Mobile Homes and Recreational Vehicles" are worthwhile. That little Kenmore Kart was Sears answer to the wave of British and Japanese that made a brief appearance here as the wringer was having it's death rattle.

I love the little countertop dishwasher even though I have an idea of how worthless it was-I would have been delighted to have one when I was 7 or 8, which is about my age at the time of this catalog.

I remember seeing the laundry cart in walks through the Ponce de Leon Sears store on my way home from Georgia State. Since it was a warehouse as well as the huge store, you could order catalog items and pick them up there without having to pay shipping. It also had an employees' store where they sometimes had reconditioned combos for sale that had been taken back from dissatisfied customers.

That's cool!  Who knew Sears sold a little twin-tub washer like this!   Looks pretty small too, I wonder which company Japanese company made this for them?  Hitachi?  Panasonic?

I WAS going to say "I'd like to see inside the wash tub to see where the impeller was..." but just did a quick search and found this thread from 2011 with photos!

Probably didn’t hold much, and that it uses “water power” must mean you hook it up to the faucet and turn on full blast for 10 minutes. Not good here in the arid West!

I do remember seeing those in the catalog and thought it would be cool to have then, as well.

Thanks for sharing — never heard of the Kenmore Kart before!
