HELP! DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVE A * MAYTAG - LA710 * WASHING MACHINE???

A hole rusted in the wash tubs of our * MAYTAG - LA710 *!!!
...And water leaked everywhere and flooded the kitchen carpet... So it is out of commission. I was going to try to replace the parts. I looked EVERYWHERE! for WEEKS!
...BUT apparently they JUST stopped making the replacement part for the wash tubs a few years ago for the * MAYTAG - LA710 * Washing Machine!
:(

...So we ended up getting a MAYTAG BRAVOS which is COMPLETELY USELESS and chews holes in ALL of my clothing even on the delicate cycles!!! It also does NOT get lint, cat hair, my hair, blanket fuzz off of ANYTHING!!! EVEN IF I WASH IT TWICE! I've TRIED EVERYTHING! It NEEDS to be set on fire and thrown off a very tall cliff onto sharp rocks...

HELP! I NEED MY * MAYTAG - LA710 * WASHING MACHINE BACK!
:(

Does ANYONE have one?

Is ANYONE selling one?

Or does ANYONE have some sort of special connections or a magical ability to locate a WORKING * MAYTAG - LA710 * Washing Machine?
We've had it since April 5, 1981! I was born on April 27, 1981!!!

Can ANYBODY point me in the right direction?

Please let me know!
I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Thank you,
- Erin

Shout out to Tinley Park!  My mom was born and raised there when it was still all farmland.

Keep an eye on craigslist for used machine like those Martin has posted above.  You will need to look for one that has the same number of slots down the side of the agitator as your OOS 710 or the tub won't interchange.

Milwaukee isn't out of the question, but if you can tolerate your substitute machine for a while longer, something is bound to turn up closer to home.  I suggest buying a working Maytag equivalent of similar or older vintage and keeping your 710 for parts.

I scrapped a LA 710 about a month ago. It worked OK, but leaked through the center, and the damper pads were worn out, and had been for a long time.

Tub

Those tubs are plentiful.I will keep an eye out for one I work in the field. That tub was used on all the 10 and 12 series maytags and later.Have you tried patching the hole with clear silicone?

Model number change?

When did Maytag change from the a series to the lat?
