Thermador Micro-Convection-Thermal Double Oven

I guess Michael its the best oven you will never have, I wouldn't give mine up for anything.

High quality, great performance, no messy fiberglass door seals to fall apart, vents outdoors, fast preheating and more energy efficient that any new double wall oven.

Unfortunately most rich people who had this oven never appreciated what they had and now that they are 25-40 years old they are being tossed.

They make no mention of it being a Thermatronic. Maybe they never even knew it had zapping capabilities.

Its a Thermador

You can bet its good, They NEVER built junk, the first ones in the 50s were top notch, and from everything I ever heard these were too, I personally don't want anything that complicated but If John says they are the best, you can believe it.

My parents have this model in black and it's pretty great. The self-cleaning hasn't worked on either oven in years but otherwise they work like new. The micro-convection-bake feature is the best way to reheat pizza I've found.

The reason the SC cycle usually won't work on these ovens is a stuck  sail switch near the blower, they can get gummed up with cooking vapors-grease, all you have to do is get into the top area and give the sail switch a spray of W-D-40 and the SCC should work great again.

Nice oven!

Is this a Thermodor as well? Spotted from an episode of Matlock. It looks more basic, but I did see the whole thing and it's a double unit as well.

Good eye Cole, this is the newer fully electronic version of the one that was for sale.

I greatly prefer the earlier one with all electromechanical controls, not only was it easier to use but the electronic controls were sourced to a German company in the later ovens and they were troublesome and are now NLA.
