Hello, I am new to the forum; I am posting because I recently acquired this rare 1937 "S"/ standard model Bendix Home Laundry, the first automatic washing Machine ever! I'll post the not so great photos I already have and get some more up soon!
The amazing thing is, it still works like a champ! Obviously it's exterior could use a little tlc, however, I get the feeling that any butter would likely prefer to be able to do cosmetic refurbishing themselves. Any one have any advice?

Hi Lauren

Welcome. I don’t mean to sound negative, but in the photos you’ve posted, there doesn’t seem to be a motor there. Therefore I’m not sure how it’s working?

Or did you just have it apart to clean?

Otherwise, the porcelain parts do look lovely.

Regards

Nathan
