Makes a loud buzzing when the gas igniter is in operation and until gas is lit and it switches off (dryer works fine otherwise). I've searched the forums but I didn't see this issue referenced. The Internet seems to think it could be a the igniter on its way out, valve coils on their way out, or the valve itself on its way out. Dryers is an '86 model. Thanks!

If the dryer is working correctly consider this normal for a 30 YO dryer, it is diffidently not an igniter starting to fail, it could be the start of a valve failure, but I would guess this is also unlikely, I have heard dozens of gas dryers make this sound and I never gave it a 2nd thought, and I do not get call backs that the dryer has soon failed thereafter.
