Any chance the place you were at has security cameras that monitor the parking lot?

Wow.  16K miles is like brand new for that car.  This was vandalism plain and simple, and could have been motivated by the appearance that the car was parked to avoid the usual parking lot dings inflicted by careless types.  It was a sitting duck for unstable assholes.  I try to park our GLK sensibly but not obviously out of harm's way, and that has worked.

What type of lot was it?  Office?  Retail?  I hope your comprehensive coverage deductible isn't too high if there's more to fix/replace than just the bumper and related components.

Where in Atlanta were you parked?

Surge, where were you parked? Most likely there was a security camera somewhere nearby. My car was broken in last year at Phipps Plaza and they had the whole thing on video. Also I had someone hit my car, and leave, at Ansley and his sorry ass was on video as well. Hopefully you will have the same luck. I am not familiar with an internal system.

its getting to be a thing for some folks to spit on your window or deposit their gum on depending on the type of car I'm guessing; happened to me and others I know on numerous occasions. but I will not tolerate being a victim of hit and run.

Not the least bit surprised that this happened outside a Walmart.   For me, it's worth the minimal difference in the price of things to shop at Target and avoid the BS from shady clientele that can reliably be found indoors and out at Walmart.

I know im totally busted. I usually avoid that place like the plague but my neighbor wanted their version of ensure.she says it tastes better;anything to get more calories in her. BUT: I refused to show them my receipt.

Surge, don’t be timid about shopping at Walmart. Hell, it is your funding. Sometimes their prices cannot be beaten. I promise you, there is video surveillance at that location. Shoplifting is a sport over there. Anyway, go in person and meet with the GM. Level with him and they will help you. Also for your repairs there is a body shop on Monroe Drive near Cheshire Bridge and they are top notch for luxury cars.
