Hello to everyone on the forum it has been a while since I posted anything but would like to get some info regarding epidural pain management. As some of you may remember me I am the father of 2 special needs children and we had the run around from speed queen a couple years ago.
The reason I am asking what peoples opinion of epidurals is because my son is having considerable problems with his. On 12/4/2018 we were admitted into SHRINNERS HOSPITAL Portland unit. I will emphasize that I am not complaining of the providers, surgeons or anesthesiologist, nursing care or any other aspect of SHRINNERS HOSPITAL.
Joshua had surgery to correct/fuse both feet to create the arch, laproscopic repair of the left knee and rotation of the left femor with bone graphs from the femor to use in the fusions of both feet also they fused 4 toes removing knuckles in the toes to fuse them as well and he has exterior pins holding his feet together.
Today they tried to slow down the epidural for the third time and everytime the epidural slows down his vital signs go out of control and they have to keep uping the dose of fentynal. In order for Josh to come home all vitals must be safe and he also has to be transfered onto oral pain meds.
Do you think in your opinions that this is epidural related or is something else going on and there is problems on the horizion?
