Just wanted to let the board know: a bought item sadly arrived damaged, but this member took care of it, immediately and without question... we're lucky to have folks like that here...but we knew that, right? that's why we hang out, I love this place! I just want to give recognition where it's due...thanks tennblondie78!

Yep, the plastic base got cracked and chipped, shippers are so rough, these bases are painted Bakelite not metal like the older ones. I hope to someday find a good donor machine with a perfect base and put it back to how it should be, might be hard to find one though... in any event am hopeful that someday it can be made right again. I'm wondering if an older style metal base would work with a Model 12 arm and head?
