They took the front panel off & couldn't get it back on. So they put duct tape on the cabinet & front panel to hold it on.

I wonder what kind of problem they were having that they took the front panel off??

I'll bet it was a leak... I'll further bet they didn't replace the tub seal... LOL

timer sticking

I hav the same 1-18 but with the window in the lid. It works beautifully but the timer will only pull out right at the 15 minute mark on the Regular cycle. So I always start and use it on that cycle.
Any suggestions????

I worked on hundreds of those stupid things that were under warranty. 99.99% had leaks.....

WCI?

is this a WCI POS or is there a jet cone in there? I don't see anything about jet action on the console.

the agitator emblem under the 'water level' control...

GM next to Frigidaire...

and the 1-18 on the lower console should be first clues, this is a Jet Action Rollermatic machine!...

May not be up on all things vintage Frigidaire, but know what to look for when it comes to "Jet Action" washers.

If hadn't seen the little emblem and other details indicating the real GM McCoy wouldn't have bothered.
