I have said it before, but these plastic-console Kenmores have always been a favourite of mine. I've had two of the dryers and very briefly owned a washer with one - all were before I knew about this site and before figuring out how to overhaul a WP-built belt-drive washer. I am ever hopeful of finding a set in Avocado one day. For now the picture will have to do... LOL

The dryer door is so strange looking because the handle seems to be in the same place as the usual Kenmore drop door style even though it is side swing. The WP side swing door has a more symmetrical handle placement.

Yes, I had never noticed that before. Methinks this was a unique Canadian-market design.
