The production values are weak. Continuity, like going on a midnight picnic in Alaska in the winter, standing in open doorways in freezing weather, having shots with snow and leaves on deciduous trees, driving in the winter with car windows down and shirts unbuttoned are typical deficiencies. The plots are appealing, sometimes even inspiring, but they center heavily on commoner meeting royalty and falling in love or some variant on that theme--what would be derided as "chick flicks." I am not saying that they are not entertaining, but they would get an "F" in film school, typical of the level of quality in television offerings.
