25 loads in and very happy with this machine. Uses lots of water & no residue! Simple, almost elegant. Only minor quibble is that all action, including water fill and agitation stops when lid is raised. Other than that very satisfied.

a clothes pin trick will allow you to see the machine in action with the lid open...
on the back, just above the drain hose....with the lid closed, slip the pin over this flap...easy on, easy off.....

Will the clothes pin fix work on any 2017 Speed Queen top loader? When I finally get my new stuff in the laundry room any machine that doesn't work with the lid open is a party-pooper (no fun) for me.

The clothespin trick will work on the 2017! I did it on mine. So easy. |

The only way you can still get the traditional model is with the commercial machine shown above. This is with the regular agitator and full fill. If you are getting a digital control machine it will be the newer mechanism with the agitator and tub locked together. Not the same thing. |
