Some of the surface units look like they are trying to jump out of the cooktop, but it was a good cooktop. I have that Maytag DW in a convertible portable. It washes well, but even the user's manual does not tell you where to put cookware because the racks and wash arm arrangement are not designed for washing cookware or large items. Give me my WP-made Ultra Wash.

Lots of built-ins coming out it, but I think I'll stick with some of those older ones--much better made, 'cept for the not so fair shake they aren't getting, replaced by inferior newer stuff, that this is probably on its way to ranking with...
