Our Sanyo twin tub, bought new in 1989, and still running well. It's made mostly of plastic, except for the thin metal casing, and is very light. The wash tub's a decent size, but the spinner's a bit too small for it. What I like most about it is the Expo 70 style control panel. Very Japanese!

Lovely machine!

I’ve got a later series Sanyo with the full size agitator and metal spin can. My model had a recall put out for it due to a build up of condensation in the controls causing electrical issues.
It’s a great washer though and I use it very sparingly to preserve it.

Great that you are keeping yours in such good condition!

Matt
