This is an HOH, not a SOH. Pretty cool. What tv show was this from? |

In my DE808 dryer.
But my dryer is HARVEST GOLD and the windowed door is ALMOND. It sort of reminds me of the Westinghouse space-savers (kinda). Excuse the mess on top of the dryer. It is currently sitting on the sidelines waiting to be used, because we are currently using my mom's modern Whirlpool dryer. :o/

Sorry but I can't answer that question for you because I don't know the answer
:o/ I don't know if Maytag offered a halo-of-heat style dryer commercially? And then, if they did have commercial HOH dryers, did they offer a windowed door? That would have to be answered by our Maytag experts here. I'd love to know the answer too. |

>> I don't know if Maytag offered a halo-of-heat style dryer commercially?
I'm pretty sure they did, because I remember someone (John?) saying that they were problematic in laundromats due to the lint filter design... (edit: I should clarify - problems getting the USERS to actually empty the lint filters, not necessarily problems with the lint filters themselves.) This post was last edited 01/16/2019 at 13:05 |

I'm curious to know too, if there was windowed doors for the commercial HOH Maytag dryers.
Thanks Louis... when I seen that Maytag had windowed doors for commercial dryers, I HAD to get one! So much so that, even if the door doesn't matched the cabinet, I don't care, I got one. I look forward to using my Maytag DE808 dryer and glancing over to the window & being able to see the clothes tumbling in the drum! |

>> Ultramatic: >> Are there windowed doors that would fit earlier DE806's (blue panel)? >> Hippiedoll: >> I don't know if Maytag offered a halo-of-heat style dryer commercially? >> And then, if they did have commercial HOH dryers, did they offer a windowed door? Turns out the answers are YES and YES! The dryer models (or at least two examples) are the DE20CM and DG20CM, ticket-operated commercial models, with a rectangular window in the door! I just happened to randomly stumble across this thread, from 2008, which had the scan attached below from member bajaespuma: www.automaticwasher.org/c... Good luck finding one though... Searching for either model gives zero results on the forum here, and zero on Google either save for one service manual auction that listed them.

Is the door arrangement on the DE/DG20CM cobbled together from the door from the combo and the latch mechanism from the child-killer doors? |

Maytag actually did offer a commercial HOH dryer, and here it is! The image is a little botched, but should give you an idea what they would have looked like
