I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher KDS-17A Serial 200-602-967. It came with our house, built in 1962. We are remodeling our home and getting new appliances, which I know is crazy. This dishwasher is a workhorse and is in great condition. The former owner rarely used it - lived in the house 40 years. I can't find anything about the age of this machine or how to price it to sell. I'm not sure if it is worth selling. Looks like ppl need the parts, but would be tragic to do, since it works great.

KDS 17

These top-of-the-line Superbas are loved by many, even though they need proper loading to work effectively due to their lack of a second wash arm for the upper rack.  KitchenAid described the wash action as "a hurricane in a box."

It's worth selling, but can't imagine it fetching more than $100.  You can post it for sale in the Shoppers Square forum here, or give craigslist a shot.

This KitchenAid was not original to your house, as it dates back to around 1970 or so.

KDS-17A was '74 to '76. KDS-17 was '71 to '74

thank you

I misspoke when I wrote it was original to the house - it was in the house when we purchased it in 2009. The original homeowner did a major renovation in the mid 70's, so the date of 74-76 seems correct. This dishwasher cleans great - never had a problem with it - and it absolutely sounds like a hurricane in a box, though. Thanks for all the advice and replies.
