Hello All,

I recently purchased on Ebay two new door springs for our Kitchenaid KDS-17 dishwasher made in the former West Germany and sold in Australia. My research led me to Whirlpool part number 4160496.

Unfortunately the new springs are 1 1/2" and 1 7/8" longer than the originals (they have 3/8" difference in length for some reason). Regardless, they are both too long.

Any ideas what US model I need springs from ? The originals are 6 1/2" long.

Photo attached. The original spring is gray.

Thanks so much all.

Regards,
Tim
