This week at Rite Aid.
Sale price $4.99, but with $2 off coupon (found in most Sunday papers) this drops down to $2.99. Sale covers all varieties including pods. By the way has anyone seen the "odor eliminator" version of Persil? None of our local Rite Aid stores stock, nor can they seem to order. They've dropped Tide PurClean as well. |

But it has a different scent than the signature scent in Original and 2in1 Stain. I prefer the signature scent but nonetheless I use the odor version for sweaty stuff and it is fantastic. |

Still have about half or more of original Persil "2in1" bottle to finish. Then there is another new unopened bottle in stash purchased when stuff was on similar offer last year.
Truth to tell the scent is what gets one down; far to powerful and lingers. It clashed with Ma Griffe! This plus when do go for a Persil gel/liquid use the color version for things like shirts and other things where don't want OBAs; and the USA versions of Persil are loaded with whitening agents. Still the coupons are good for about another two weeks (2 February), if can lay hands on the "Odor Fighter" version may give it a try. |

Thanks for letting us know of this sale!
> with $2 off coupon (found in most Sunday papers) I noticed that mentioned in their ad, I think. I certainly see that sort of thing mentioned. I always sigh, and think "it would be nice having a coupon like that." But I won't get it. It's been years since I subscribed to a paper, and I figure the cost of buying a single issue would pretty much cancel out any coupon savings. I suspect I'm not the only one in this situation. |

I idly wonder how much interest there might be in a Persil coupon in the newspaper. I have a vision of the average paper subscriber now being an old person who'd shake his or her cane, and scream: "I don't want no coupon for this stinkin' Per-whatever-it-is! Give me me the Oxydol which Ma always used used!"

That was my complaint when I tried a sample bottle (10 load IIRC) of "Original" (sourced from Target, where they have it--at least in my area--for $2/bottle.) Persil seems to clean well. But I found the scent...is strong...very strong...and lasts...and lasts...and lasts some more. I have a vision of archaeologists digging up a ruin one day, and finding a pile of shirts washed in Persil which still have a strong Persil scent even after a thousand years. |

Interesting, because I checked detergents at my nearest RiteAid. I noticed they still have Tide purclean. So the chain still must be getting the stuff, even if it doesn't turn up in some locations. Of course, my location is on the west coast, and I suppose it's possible product availability/maybe distribution systems vary in different parts of the country. |

If one doesn't subscribe or otherwise purchase there is always the recycling bin. *LOL* Have seen people going through newspapers in ours looking for coupons or whatever before papers are bundled together and rubbished.
This and or simply pop over to a local newsstand/seller late Sunday night or on Monday and ask to have something out of unsold papers before they are packed and put out for rubbish. Nearly all places require newspapers to be recycled so places must separate them anyway, and depending upon when collected may sit around for a few days. P&G is a bit more democratic. Usually their coupon offers are available online at PG.com or some such. There you can print things out which is a blessing for those who don't buy newspapers any longer. |

I guess our local paper isn't like "most" of them. In the advertising insert where this coupon is supposed to be, it's almost entirely about deals on cosmetics and nothing for Persil.
Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid all had Sunday ad inserts that included this Persil offer, and I'll bet there were plenty of coupon-clippers who went on a futile search through the rest of the supplements to find the mysterious $2 discount. |

Early on when Tide Purclean was released local RiteAid had it in stock *and* was part of various sales/special offers.
For past several months (or weeks)now Rite Aid offers for Tide have disclaimer (except PurClean). Which again almost doesn't matter as local stores have stopped carrying the stuff. Made inquires and manager replied at least in NYC Rite Aid stores stock largely inventory based upon demand. What sells is reordered, what does not, well isn't. Since PG also has taken TPC off special offer, it may be they are also restricting and or otherwise making it not worth local Rite Aid stores bothering with stocking the stuff. During my travels around Manhattan have stopped into various other RiteAid shops, none carry Tide PurClean. |
