Hey guys got question about my Aunts RCA washer (ge made) #wrw5705mal. She called said top was hot. The hot water was filling when it should not. Turned off hot water. Next load did fine. I'm thinking water valve going out. This will be first repairs ever made on this classic. Thanks Charlie

The inlet valve is bad, stuck open, if hot or cold water runs in when the machine is off or disconnected from power and can be stopped only by turning off the respective supply faucet.
