I have a Miele dishwasher and decided to give Miele Dishwasher Tabs a try and honestly haven't found them very good at all. They wash OK but they're leaving plastic items like chopping boards and also the dishwasher's upper plastic cutlery tray, detergent Despenser and plastic components quite orangey/brown looking. It's like they're not cleaning off lycopene and carotenes from pasta sauces, curries and that sort of thing. They seem to handle tea and coffee stains perfectly though. They also seem to cut grease and remove protein. However, given how much I cook strongly coloured vegetable, they're not really doing the job for me.

I tried one wash with Fairy Platinum Plus All In One tablets 'with anti dull technology' - (these are P&G similar to Cascade in the US) and all of the staining disappeared!

I'm just a bit surprised they're not so great given the reviews online all seem to be absolutely glowing.

All brand hype?

I mean the dishwasher itself is fantastic: great build quality, excellent performance, whisper quiet but the detergent really didn't impress at all.

I've a Miele Twin Dos washer and I find their laundry detergent packs excellent. No issues whatsoever. Also their wool detergent seems to be a lot better than Woolite so I'm just a bit surprised they didn't get the dishwasher tabs right.

I have also just got some of these tabs after I bought a nearly new Miele dishwasher second hand on Aussie Guntree.
I think very much the same as you that they are great in litany of ways but not as perfect as I was hoping for. They are however chipping away at a very stubborn tea stain on a couple of mugs after years of using Aldis own tablets.
I cooked a pasta sauce that was very tomato based and once the cycle had finished the white surround and handle for the filter was stained red and it took two washes with regular plates and cups in for it to clear.
I like using the Miele branded products as they are all really good performers and will probably keep buying g the tablets. Might get a small bag of Finish Quantum just to see how they compare.. I’ve always used home brand tablets in the past.
Matt
