Hello there, I'm a British journalist writing a book about the4 history of housework - The Home Stretch (Atlantic Books, 2020). I'm keen to chat to vintage appliance fans, on or off the record, particularly on the US West or East coasts. sal@sallyhoward.net

Yes, at any rate, what was her motive?

Going to her profile, I saw little there that anything here would make its way to, if that one post of hers has gotten a few days old & we hadnít heard from her...

Nor had I read anything about what we do and discuss here, except for still taking its time getting there...

I just heard from her via email ó she says sheís going to be on the West Coast in April/May and would love to meet me. Asking if there are any wash-ins out this way. I said Iíd be happy to put one together, but since my collection is pitiful compared to what I used to have, doubt if anyone would show up (unlimited wine and beer might get someone to show!).

Weíll see what happens. I donít think she realizes I live in a rural but beautiful part of Northern California thatís a two hour drive from San Francisco and Sacramento...

Stay tuned!

Wash In

That unlimited beer and wine should go over big with this crowd so be prepared for a mob.I have been to a few aw.hoard events and each time the alcohol flowed freely.I personally have not had a drop of alcohol in my lifetime.(Why its the devils water!)If I want to get high I will go see the Beach Boys play.
