When I was a kid I was always excited when the large format Sears Sale Circulars arrived in the mail. These were usually big and colorful (12.5" x 11") and showed lots of pictures of washers, dryers, dishwashers, vacuums and other appliances. I just scanned my entire collection. About 20 years ago I found a big pile of them in a basement at an estate sale, at that time I hadn't seen any of these for over 20 years, but I remembered them clearly.
I just put the entire collection in a four volume set and saved them to the Ephemera Library if anyone would like a copy... 1967-1968-1969 Kenmore Washers and Dryers 1970-1971 Kenmore Washers and Dryers 1967-1971 Kenmore Dishwashers 1967-1971 Kenmore Vacuum Cleaners, Shop-Vacs, Floor-Polishers |

I remember Sears inserts from when I was 12 or 13 and had a paper route. We carriers hated the extra work (which in hindsight wasn't much bother at all).
Just one time I decided not to add the inserts as I folded the papers. I should have known better. One person on my route worked for Sears and was anticipating the insert. Needless to say, I never omitted them again. |
