Sad to see JCP's move

I've always enjoyed positive discussions concerning department store sales of major appliances. At The Emporium suburban stores where I worked, the appliance department was always sort of an add-on to the furniture area. At Macy's San Francisco, shortly before they ditched major appliances, they installed three "dream kitchens". The modern one was space-age and out of this world. When it came to their SF store, Macy's seemed to have more money than they knew what to do with. Sales of the California Division were that good.
