Hi
as some of you will know, I was a die hard persil kid "forever"...until the fiasco with the Persil powergems, when I decided there was life outside persil..I have now tried all the variants of Daz, ariel and surf powergems, which I actually really like!.. they clean well and dissolve, unlike the persil ones.
Years ago, I worked with a lady who swore by surf handwash powder, so I thought I would try surf classic white to see if its any good..i have had real difficulty finding it in the shops, all everyone seems to stock is surf tropical, lavender or carrabian crush.
I have found some in Morrisons, which is a bit of a trek for me and boy is it expensive...£9 for a 40 wash box, as opposed to £5 for surf tropical!
Has anyone else used it,is it any good?
I am doing a cotton 95 wash with it at the moment and it smells divine!

update

so..first wash..bath towels and tea towels washed on cotton 95..sparkling white and smell really nice. I line dried them and my sister commented on how white they looked without any prompting from me!
Now for the problem...the soap drawer had a hard bit of powder stuck in it which was really difficult to dislodge!!
Thinking maybe the water pressure dropped when it was filling, I did another wash and the same thing has happened! This happened years ago when I tried Lidls powder and I gave it away!..do I do the same with this or is it just fluke?

Sounds like your Surf

Has a similar ingredient to Bold with Lenor built in I cannot put it in the drawer at all it just solidifies and clogs up so I throw it in the drum. If I use a prewash I throw it straight in and then use Non bio powder for the main wash as that does not clog. Oh I too stopped buying Persil as it was becoming more and more expensive so I now get Gompels own you get 2 10kg boxes 135 washes a box for £15 Bargain and it has those little blue specks that smell like old fashioned powder of long ago it works well too.

I adore Surf....

Been using it for almost 10 years, and never had trouble with it. Gets things clean the first time, and leaves a nice, light unobtrusive sent. I rather like the tropical variety, since the sent is not terribly strong, its not nauseating like you might expect. I encourage you to try it.
