What Switch Starts the DE409 dryer?

The DE409 is push to start which is integral to the timer motor. My question is, what switch actually starts it? I have several OEM NOS timer motors but no "start swich" per se as a backup. Is it the whole timer assembly that does the push-in to start from the single crystal knob that controls things?
